Facebook Post 1-27-17: Musings on the Existence of Sedition Laws in the USA
Does the fact that we live in a country that was literally founded by people telling the ruling government to eff off, and advocating for the establishment of a new government, nullify the federal law that says people in this country, today, cannot do the same thing that *the people who founded our country literally did in order to found said country*? How can a country founded by the (more than) advocating for revolt against a shit government, turn around and prohibit it? I call epic bullshit. We lionize people (founding fathers) who under current US federal law could be sent to the clink for 20+ years. I call epic and hypocritical bullshit. Just saying.
